MetroTex Association of REALTORS® is one of the fastest growing REALTOR® Associations in the United States. Our strength comes from our Membership as a whole and is expressed through active volunteers who are the leadership and future of the Association. One key element in our strategic plan is to identify, develop and nurture future volunteer leaders. MetroTex invites you to consider serving your association as a volunteer leader by applying to join the 2022 MetroTex Board of Directors.
Director (8 positions/2-year term): Each Director shall be a REALTOR® Member at the time of such election and in good standing for the two (2) years immediately preceding his or her term of office . Must have done at least one (1) of the following: (i) Served on a MetroTex Committee or Task Force (ii) Graduated from an Association Leadership Program (iii) Served on a State or NAR Committee or Directorship or President’s Advisory Group (PAG) (iv) Served on a Real Estate Industry Committee or Task Force.
President-Elect (1 position/1-year term): The President-Elect shall be a REALTOR® Member who has (i) served as Director for twenty-four (24) consecutive months during the sixty (60) months immediately preceding his or her term of office and (ii) served on the Budget & Finance Committee for at least one full year or served as chair of a standing committee of the Association for at least one full year. The President-Elect shall assume the duties of the President, if the President is absent or unable to perform the duties of the President.
Secretary/Treasurer (1 position/1-year term): The Secretary/Treasurer shall be a REALTOR® Member who (i) has served as Director for twenty-four (24) consecutive months during the sixty (60) months immediately preceding his or her term of office and (ii) served on the Budget & Finance Committee for at least one full year or served as chair of a standing committee of the Association for at least one full year.
Ensure that the needs of the membership are met.
Approve and evaluate programs and activities of the Association.
Plan the future direction of the Association.
Establish Association policies to guide the operation of the Association.
Select and hire the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and monitor and evaluate the CEO’S performance.
Set financial objectives and monitor their achievement.

All REALTOR® Members have access to an online application to serve on the 2022 MetroTex Board of Directors. All qualified applicants will be interviewed by the MetroTex Nominating Committee in May and June of 2021, with the final Slate of Nominees announced in July. The deadline to apply is April 30, 2021.
