Texas REALTORS® Leadership Application

It is already time to be thinking about the year ahead, and appointing dedicated members to serve at the next level. Are you ready to apply?

MetroTex invites you to consider serving your Association, and REALTOR® peers, by submitting an application to represent MetroTex as a Director or Regional Vice President (RVP) for Texas REALTORS®.

Members like you have made 2026 a tremendous year for MetroTex. Your contributions have played a key role in our accomplishments, and with your help, we will continue the same success. All candidates for Texas REALTORS® Director/RVP positions from MetroTex must be an active primary REALTOR® member of MetroTex and be willing to meet the following duties of the chosen position:

Texas REALTOR Director®

Attend all Texas REALTORS® Board of Directors’ meetings.
Attend the annual Texas REALTORS® Legislative Day in Austin.
Keep the MetroTex Board of Directors informed of the activities of the Texas REALTORS®.
Present to the MetroTex Board of Directors any programs, suggestions or concerns of Texas REALTORS®.
Be familiar with all governing documents of the Association and assist in the implementation of the objectives and strategies of the Strategic Plan.
All MetroTex elected Texas REALTORS® Directors are to receive official invitations to attend the MetroTex Directors’ meetings immediately preceding and following the respective function of Texas REALTORS® to discuss agenda items.

Texas REALTOR RVP®

Have served on a Texas REALTORS® committee, task force, or Texas REALTORS® Board of Directors within the past three (3) years .
Have attended four (4) of the previous six (6) annual Texas REALTORS® meetings as set forth in Article VI of the Texas REALTORS® Bylaws, and should have done at least one (1) of the following: (i) served at least one (1) year on their local Board of Directors (ii) served at least one (1) year on the board of a qualified institute, society, or council affiliated with NAR
Attend all Texas REALTORS® Executive Committee and Board of Directors’ meetings.
Must not have received formal discipline from the Texas Real Estate Commission for a violation that falls under Section 535.191(d) or (e) of the Texas Real Estate Commission.
Must not have been found in violation of NAR’s Code of Ethics within three (3) years preceding the date of the election.
Attend the annual Texas REALTORS® Legislative Day in Austin.
Keep the MetroTex Board of Directors informed of the activities of the Texas REALTORS®.
Present to the MetroTex Board of Directors any programs, suggestions or concerns of Texas REALTORS®.
Be familiar with all governing documents of the Association and assist in the implementation of the objectives and strategies of the Strategic Plan.
Attend the MetroTex Directors’ meetings immediately preceding and following the respective function of Texas REALTORS® for the purpose of discussing agenda items.
