The Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program (TRLP) provides an innovative and flexible learning experience that focuses on leadership development in the context of a learning community.  Core values of the Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program include community, service, integrity, and commitment.

Mission statement

The TRLP mission is to cultivate leaders from all segments of the community by educating, developing, and encouraging participants to undertake leadership roles, providing them the means and resources to begin their involvement, and instructing them on how to utilize these assets to impact change and make a difference in their respective professional, personal, and civic areas of interest.”

TRLP cultivates leaders across the state by educating them about leadership roles and the process to begin their involvement. Further, it helps build and strengthen key leadership skills to effect change and make a difference in both professional and personal areas of interest. In short, the purpose of TRLP is to prepare the next generation of Texas REALTORS® to meet future challenges.

The Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program includes seminars, guest speakers, group discussions, and leadership exercises that address vital issues affecting Texas REALTORS®. The format promotes discussion and involvement by all participants.

The Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program hopes to enable participants to:

  • Increase their self-awareness
  • Gain more effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Learn to lead despite differences and conflicts
  • Embrace team dynamics
  • Acquire a greater understanding of the real estate business
  • Prepare for future roles
  • Be able to set goals, take action, and achieve results
  • Become more involved in committees
  • Create trust through integrity and ethical behavior
  • Practice self-discipline and time management
  • Achieve work/life/health balance
  • Gain a deeper appreciation of the local, state, and national REALTOR®organizations
  • Understand all the responsibilities of leadership
  • Build relationships with industry peers

TRLP Program Guidelines and Expectations

Candidates must complete an application and be selected to participate in the TRLP. The Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program is composed of eight or more modules, typically delivered over an eight-month timeframe. There is an opening two day retreat in Dallas plus six full day program days and an overnight trip to Austin.  Participants must be a REALTOR® or Affiliate member of MetroTex.

Alumni Information:
After graduating from the TRLP, Alumni members contribute back to the Association by serving on local, state and national Committees. The task of this committee is to give direction to the TRLP class and maintain an on-going leadership skills development program to prepare committee members for leadership roles in their community, their profession and at all levels of the Association.  All committee members must be graduates of TRLP.

TRLP Alumni will have an opportunity each year to pay dues, which will be used to offset the cost of closed alumni programs and events.  The dues levels are $35, $50, $75 and $100.

Christine Sevin Burke

Christine Sevin Burke takes pride in getting things done. With over a decade of success in the housing industry, Christine and husband Patrick have combined forces to create a full-service real estate business with one goal in mind, to foster meaningful relationships, while offering the highest level of service and expertise one can provide. Originally raised in Far North Dallas, Christine has seen the landscape transform from farm fields north of LBJ to the thriving areas of Plano and beyond. “I know the nuances of all these neighborhoods,” she says, “from the best schools, to shopping, and restaurants. I love this town and am very proud to be a native.”

Together, Christine and Patrick work in tandem as the Sevin Burke Group. Christine lives happily in Oakdale with her husband Patrick of 20 years and their son, Laird, who attends Greenhill School, Christine’s former middle school. She is a graduate of Austin College where she pledged Kappa Gamma Chi and is still active in their alumnae network. Currently she is serving on the Austin College Alumni Board fostering connections and friendships of alumni.  After college, Christine owned a bath and home retail boutique, and served as network administrator for a technology firm, before gaining a foothold in real estate while working for a commercial appraiser in Washington D.C.

She is a member of All Saints Catholic Church where she volunteers in Sunday school classrooms, as well as volunteering at her son’s school in various capacities. She is a member of the Gleneagles Country Club and can sometimes be found playing golf. She also likes to travel, watch her son play sports, plan events or cheer on the LSU football team as a season ticket holder.

Ashley Browning

Jennifer Dahlman

Jennifer Dahlman is a REALTOR® with RE/MAX 3D REALTY in Greenville, Texas. Jenn lived within the Dallas metro for 19 years, before moving to Hunt County with her husband, their two young daughters, three retrievers, and two chickens. Before becoming a REALTOR® in 2017, Jenn worked in the hospitality and sales industries serving clients from international hotel chains to bespoke jewelers. A certified military relocation specialist, Jenn uses her unique experience in personal sales to tailor-fit each client with a home they’ll adore; whether it’s the city lights or stars above. Jenn is also an active member of her local American Legion Auxiliary and Catholic Daughters of America.

Sergio Espinosa

Sergio Espinosa is in his third year of Residential Real Estate working at Shirley Roberts REALTORS®.

He is a Bilingual Agent with a Bachelor and Masters degree from Baylor University.

Prior to his current role, Sergio spent over 20 years in the IT world in Project Management.

Abe Fox

My name is Abe Fox and I have been a licensed REALTOR since March of 2016. Upon licensing, I began with Keller Williams, then did a short stint with VIVO Realty, before moving on to Coldwell Banker Apex. I am now part of wonderful startup at Anita Barham Realty, Since February of 2019.

I have been associated with Real Estate for well over12 years, doing properly renovations, rentals, and flips before formalizing my real estate background. With a degree in Finance from the University of North Texas and a minor in Accounting, I worked previously doing analytics, audits, and financial feasibility assessments for over 14 years.

I have also completed partial school work and education within the University Of Arlington School Of Architecture, with plans to eventually go back and complete course work to graduate as an Architect. I have resided in DFW for over 39 years and I also hold a Private Pilot License.

As of 2019, I became a member of NAHREP Texas Plano/Garland, Participate on MetroTex’s The Global Council, and am eager to serve on the Legacy Project being coordinated with BIND-Brain Injury Network of Dallas.

Dawn Ferreiro

I have been in the mortgage business for 14 and ½ years and I am passionate about helping people
achieve their homeownership dreams. My clients achieving those goas is an important endeavor
because according to Forbes a typical homeowner will be ahead of a typical renter by a multiple of 45 on
a lifetime financial achievement scale. What an honor then to make those dreams a reality. To that
end, I have ensured that I can provide a large repertoire of products for my clients including niche
products such as renovation loans. I am a TREC certified CE instructor and I enjoy educating my referral
partners so they can grow their own business as well. In addition, I care deeply about my clients and
their families and I recognize the importance of my fiduciary responsibility.

My husband and I currently live in Carrollton where we are raising our two young girls, Isla who is 5 and
headed to kindergarten next year and Corbyn who is 2 going on 20. We love being involved in our
church, St Andrew United Methodist in Plano and have enjoyed several mission trips to South TX to help
with recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. I also volunteer for the Children’s Program at our
church. In addition, I participate in MetroTex as well as CCAR where I serve on the Affiliate Committee
and the Realtor/Lender committee. I am proud to call Dallas home and have for the last 18 years. We
have so many amazing things happening here and I am so excited about the growth of our community.

Ashley Gentry

Ashley developed her passion for all things real estate quite early on, some would say destined to follow in her mother, Cheri’s footsteps. Young and eager, she seized the opportunity to learn from Cheri, which spurred a successful career of her own. Being a realtor was not something she took lightly, the weight of people’s futures was something she always carried with her. With an emphasis on technology and marketing, coupled with her drive to make a difference in the industry, she propelled herself into different leadership opportunities. The start of her own family brought everything full circle; proudly joining forces with her mother once again, to start RedBranch Realty. Every day is a new opportunity for Ashley to continue to do what she loves, helping others achieve their dreams.

As an accredited, experienced and trusted broker with Connect Realty. I continually work to meet the needs of my clients. Whether it’s a buyer looking for your next ideal home, or a seller in need of moving from their current property, I am committed to helping my clients during the whole process. In addition to being an Accredited Real Estate Professional, I am also certified as an Affordable Housing Specialist, Social Media PRO and an e-PRO agent. I was born in Hawaii but raised in Texas, I am a veteran of the U.S Navy and a Cancer survivor.  I was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma over 15 years ago and I am proud to say I am a survivor.

Located at Ebby Halliday Preston Center one of the original Ebby Halliday offices situated between Preston Hollow and the Park Cities. Minutes from downtown Dallas, Uptown, East Dallas, and West Village. A third-generation native to Dallas. Our family opened one of the first Italian restaurants in downtown Dallas. Eventually growing to 6 restaurants around the city. A graduate of the University of North Texas, I spent 15 years working in the garment and textile industry. The business allowed me to eventually travel to over 20 countries throughout the world and negotiate contracts with some of the largest global brands in the sports industry. Starting my real estate career as an investor, I developed a passion for the business and eventually made it my full time profession.

Deb Jones

Deb loves to have fun, and it shows while building a strong relationship with her clients.  She combines her real estate knowledge, negotiating skills and strong will for championing for her clients, in order to create a positive, enjoyable and memorable experience.  Deb has won numerous sales awards over 12 years in real estate, but her main focus will always be  her clients.

She starts with the basics of asking her clients their needs and wants, while guiding them through the market to get the very best results for them.  She has also built strong relationships with industry professionals, who have her same passion and commitment to provide excellent service.

Her strength in real estate is exemplified by her work on committees, including TREPAC, which fights for homeowner’s rights; marching on the state capital with 3,000 REALTORS to get the point across for homeowners rights, and joining the prestigious leadership committee.

Deb is also passionate about giving back; fighting breast cancer at Bras for a Cause and raising funds for Shriner’s Hospitals for Children. She even enjoys providing fun by dressing up as the Easter Bunny at an annual Easter egg hunt.

Besides her work, she loves animals, camping, golf and watching her grandkid’s activities.  She is an amateur foodie too!

She has been married 39 years, to Steve and has a beautiful daughter, Lindsey and bonus son, Matt, along with 4 grandchildren and 3 dogs.

Erika Kennedy

Melody Khavari

Melody Khavari is an entrepreneur, REALTOR® and a dedicated community leader who loves learning, growing and inspiring those around her.  She began her DFW area moving company in 2000 after her five-year career as a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) at Cooks Children’s Hospital in Ft Worth. For nearly 20 years Melody has built one of the most successful moving companies servicing the multi-family industry; and through her involvement in the apartment industry, Melody is a Certified Apartment Supplier (CAS) supporting the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas (AAGD), the Apartment Association of Tarrant County (AATC), Texas and National Apartment Associations where she serves on numerous committees as chair or as an active member.

In 2009 Melody steered her strategic growth both personally and professionally by becoming a licensed REALTOR®.  Currently, she is an agent with Grapevine Realty in her hometown of Grapevine, Texas.  Her growth path progresses as Melody was selected to participate in the Metrotex Association of REALTOR® Leadership Class 28 and continues to grow as she recently graduated from additional leadership programs offered through the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce, the Citizens Police Academy of Irving and Grapevine and will continue to advance in their Alumni Programs. She is a supporter of PAC through the various organizations she is involved with and values the importance of leadership and advocacy as a Gold supporter and major investor of TREPAC.

Her personal time is spent volunteering for some of her favorite committees through AAGD and AATCsuch as Membership, Government Affiliate, Trade Show, and the Product Service Council Committees which she will serve as chair in 2019-2020.  Her most treasured committee, though, is the Toys of Tots Committee, where annually she leads the apartment industry to collect toys and money to buy toys for underprivileged children in DFW area.  In 2018, Melody and her committee were successful in raising over $90,000 in toys and utilizing her truck as resources to help deliver the toys to the U.S. Marines.

Melody has been married to her husband, Mike for the past 45 years and has 2 beautiful children, Beth & John and 3 beautiful yorkies, Minnie, Jaxx & Sheytoon. As first-generation Iranian Americans, Melody and her family migrated to the USA in 1984 for the American dream.  Over the past 35 years, Melody has been blessed with the opportunities she’s been given and values the mindset of paying it forward.  She is often called a social butterfly as she loves to meet new people and make lasting friendships and hopes to inspire others and be inspired by those around her.

Kenneth Landers

Kenneth Landers, a native born Dallasite, realized early on in life that he belonged in the service oriented industry. With over 15 years in sales and business experience and 12 real estate related certifications and designations, he is hyper-focused on helping people achieve their buying, selling, and leasing needs and can assist you ANYWHERE you may be currently located or wish to be in the future. Most importantly, he is in the business of building life-long relationships!

Angie Lopez

Angie Lopez is a licensed REALTOR® with Fathom Realty. Prior to becoming a real estate agent, she worked as a real estate paralegal where she developed her passion for real estate.  She is the proud mother of a United States Marine who is currently serving overseas.  He has inspired her to be a better advocate for all military service members.  She went on to earn her Military Relocation Professional designation to help ease the unnecessary stress that often comes with moving when given new orders.  She is creative and genuinely loves helping others.  Her favorite part of a real estate transaction is seeing the joy on the faces of her clients, especially the children, knowing she made a difference in their lives.

She volunteers at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Duncanville where her family attends mass, as well as with the Toys for Tots program.  She enjoys spending her personal time with her wonderful husband, her four beautiful and amazing children, and their crazy and extremely stubborn German Shepherd, Lady.

Skyler McKinley

Skyler, “Tri Sky”, is an energetic Plano native and perfectionist with Joe Atkins Realty. After graduating from St. Edward’s University in 2013, she moved back to North Texas to pursue a career in real estate. She prides herself on being a problem solver and optimist. Understanding that home IS personal, Skyler cares about making the buying, selling and/or leasing process efficient and fun! In addition to being a REALTOR, Skyler is a professional film, tv, and voiceover actress and an Ironman triathlete. Travis-Lee Moore

A native Texan, descended from a long line of proud farmers, TL has lived a very full life in Fort Worth, Austin, Dallas and made a few stops elsewhere around the country before returning home to Dallas in 2008.  A graduate from the esteemed Culinary Institute of America and playing off of his family’s gifts of generous smiles and warm hospitality, he built a successful career in special events and boasts a long list of fantastic clients spanning the course of a twenty year endeavor.

To kick off his fourth year in the real estate business, he joined the power-house team at Keller Williams Urban Dallas in March of 2019 and continues to serve his community and his clients by crafting custom transactions and providing relationship-based experiences.  He is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, Texas REALTORS®, and serves locally at the MetroTex Association of REALTORS®, as Co-Chair for the Oak Cliff area, is VP of Neighborhoods for Heritage Oak Cliff and is heavily involved as an industry leader.

Jason Otts

Jason Otts is the Founder and Lead Agent for Ottsome Realty Team, serving all of North Texas.  Jason has been involved in many capacities in the Real Estate Industry, including structuring and building the Sales and Marketing Team for one of the largest property management companies in the US, ONEprop Leasing and Property Management.

Jason had such success, that in 2016 he accepted the Team Leader position at Keller Williams Lake Cities. During his 3 years in leadership for KW, Jason recruited 4 Mega Teams,  and over 200 individual agents.

In the Spring of 2019, Jason stepped back into production as his team, Ottsome Realty Team, continues to grow and thrive.

Sayo Owoseni

Sayo Owoseni is a New Jersey Born Nigerian and the #2 child of a 5 sibling family. Community service, music, and exploring the route to freedom emotionally, spiritually, and financially are a part of her major areas of development.

Starting off college she majored in Architecture because of her interest in real estate development. Through soul searching she found herself in media studies and business because of her entrepreneurial and media passions. In 2013 she graduated with a BA in Communication Studies concentration in media studies and minor in Business Administration from Northeastern University.

Sayo has worked in marketing for Reebok International, Account Management for ThyssenKrupp Elevators, and Implementation Logistics Management for Gexpro Services.

Chauncey Pham

Tenacious. That’s the one word description of expert Real Estate professional Chauncey N. Pham. Jay Pujara

Christopher Sullivan 

Christopher Sullivan has experience in the Texas mortgage and real estate industries dating back to May 2013. Upon passing the February 2016 bar exam and graduating from SMU Dedman School of Law in May 2016, Christopher began his practice drafting loan closing documents for Texas mortgage lenders and title companies. Since then, Christopher has partnered with Alamo Title Company to provide residential and commercial title insurance and escrow service and is licensed with TREC to provide and instruct elective CE courses for Texas real estate agents. Christopher regularly counsels Texas real estate agents and brokers on important real estate issues, including contract review and navigating regulations affecting their business. In addition, Christopher assists lenders in maintaining compliance throughout origination and regularly provides post-closing lender compliance reviews to improve operations. Outside of work, Christopher frequently volunteers with organizations in Dallas and Denton Counties with his wife, Kelsey. He also enjoys spending weekends at his family’s ranch in Sunset, Texas.

Elisha Scott

Elisha Scott is a licensed REALTOR® with Ebby Halliday Realtors, Inc. at the iconic Little White House in Dallas, TX. She is a multi-million-dollar producer and has earned Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI), Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA), RESA® Certified Staging Advocate™ (CSA) and Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) Designations. She was selected to participate in the MetroTex Association of Realtors Leadership Program, Class of 28, and serves on the Professional Development Committee. Her Super Objective is to always spark inventiveness to the hearers and create client evangelists.

Before becoming a REALTOR® and real estate investor, Elisha spent 22 years impacting the lives of others as an Educational Consultant, former owner-operator of Educator Expo – Teaching Tools and Supplies Retail Store, a National Professional Development Trainer of digital literacy curriculum, Grant Writer, TESOL English as a Second Language Instructor at the community college level and abroad, and as an Early Childhood – Grade 8 classroom teacher.

Elisha is an alumna of Robert H. Smith School of Business at University of Maryland, College Park and holds a master’s degree in Second Language Education and Culture from Texas Wesleyan University.

She spends her personal time volunteering with the Junior League of Dallas and Jack and Jill of America Inc., strengthening her conversational Spanish, and all things related to real estate.

She is married to the love of her life, Jason and they share the joys of stewardship over the lives of Laila Simone and Isaiah.

Tiffany Todd

Tiffany’s past experience as a teacher means she is detail oriented and has patience working with the entire home buying or selling process. She is able to explain the complexities of the entire course of the transaction and does due diligence so that clients receive the best possible outcome.  Tiffany’s clients say she is persistent, dedicated and motivated.  She goes the extra mile to keep them informed and make sure when issues arise she is the calming and reassuring voice to help resolve issues.

Debra Williams

Debra joined the top producing team of Allie Beth agents after a distinguished career as an entrepreneur. She started in the restaurant business owning a dinner theatre called Medieval Inn and a Bar and Grille called Ben’s Half Yard House located on upper Greenville Avenue. After 17 years, she sold the restaurant and created Retreat Central, a digital platform that leases space to retreat groups at summer camp facilities nationally.

Debra has the proven ability to ask the right questions, build trust in relationships, assess needs and develop a sound strategy for success. This acumen coupled with a high level of emotional intelligence have made her launch into real estate a perfect fit.

Debra is all about getting to yes. Her focus is on service and shepherding her clients to accomplish their goals. She is meticulous about the details. Debra has keen negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

She has served numerous times as a Board of Trustee at Temple Emanu-El and been an active leader chairing many committees. Debra was a founding member of BvB Dallas, an organization that raises funds to find a cure for Alzheimer’s. She now serves BvB in an advisory capacity. Debra is now serving on the Jewish Woman’s Philanthropy Center committee, a division on the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas. For two decades, Debra served on the Greenville Avenue Area Business Association Board and is now serving on the membership committee of the Northaven Park Neighborhood Association.

Debra is married to Ben Williams, a Retired Navy Seal who works at Trident Response Group. They have raised two incredible children who have made their story remarkable.
