Applications Being Accepted for 2026 Nominating Committee

Do you want a meaningful voice in who leads our Association?
If so, this is your opportunity to help shape the future of MetroTex.

MetroTex is now accepting applications from REALTOR® members interested in serving on the 2026 Nominating Committee, which will help select Board and Director leadership for the 2027 election cycle and beyond. This is one of the most influential leadership roles in the Association, offering a direct hand in identifying, interviewing, and evaluating the members who will guide MetroTex forward.

Why Serve on the Nominating Committee?

The Nominating Committee plays a critical role by:

• Interviewing all qualified candidates for MetroTex Officer and Director positions.
• Evaluating and scoring candidates using established, objective criteria.
• Submitting a slate of recommended candidates to the Board of Directors.

Serving on this committee helps ensure MetroTex continues to benefit from strong, thoughtful, and representative leadership.

Committee Composition & Open Seats

The Nominating Committee, includes:

• 12 voting members (including the Chair, Vice Chair, and two members appointed by the Executive Committee)
• 2 alternate members (who fully participate in interviews and step in as voting members if needed)

MetroTex is currently seeking applications for 8 at-large voting member seats and 2 alternate seats for the 2027 election cycle.

Eligibility Requirements

If you are interested and want to apply, you must:

1. Be an active REALTOR® member in good standing for at least two (2) years
2. Have no unresolved ethics or disciplinary matters
3. Not be concurrently applying for a MetroTex Officer or Director position
4. Not be currently serving as a MetroTex Officer
5. Be willing to complete Conflict of Interest and confidentiality agreements

Important Date: Application Deadline is Saturday, January 31, 2026

Please note: This application is solely for service on the Nominating Committee. Applications for Officer and Director positions will be announced in a separate communication later this year.
