The REALTOR® of the Year Award recognizes a REALTOR® for his/her work and contributions to CCAR and the real estate industry during the 2025 calendar year. This award is CCAR’s highest degree of honor and appreciation to a member. The recipient of the REALTOR® of the Year Award is selected by his/her peers.

The REALTOR® of the Year Award is conferred annually in recognition of a CCAR REALTOR® member who best personifies the REALTOR® in spirit and ethics, and through service to his/her profession, peers, and the REALTOR® Association. Following are the nomination guidelines:

  1. No more than one REALTOR® may be honored each year. The recipient is selected by the REALTOR® of the Year Committee, who will name one (or no) recipient based on nominations submitted by CCAR members.
  2. The current CCAR President is not eligible for the award.
  3. The REALTOR® of the Year award shall be presented by the previous year’s REALTOR® of the Year recipient at the annual Installation of Officers and Directors.
  4. Any CCAR member may nominate a candidate. There shall be no campaigning for the award.
  5. Any CCAR REALTOR® member who has been a member for two or more years is eligible, with the exception listed in item #2 above.
  6. Letters of endorsement and/or recommendation in support of a candidate will be accepted. Letters can be mailed to CCAR by the nomination deadline. Additional recommendations should not be solicited or submitted.
  7. This nomination is to be kept confidential. Notification to a candidate of their nomination is prohibited.
  8. Following the nomination process each year, all nomination forms (except that of the recipient), will be discarded and will not be automatically considered the following year. Candidates will only be considered the following year if a new nomination is submitted.

The following criteria are considered in determining the recipient of the award. Evaluation is based on the individual’s ranking in each. The selection committee will apply the indicated percentage figures below and award the individual who has the highest “weighted” score.
