Earn a Free Quarter of MLS with MAPS

MetroTex MLS members can sharpen their MLS skills and earn a one-time free quarter of MetroTex MLS access by completing the MLS Academy for Professional Success (MAPS) certification.

MAPS Certification

The MAPS certification gives you practical, hands-on training in the MLS tools you use every day, so you can work faster and with more confidence. All courses are free for MetroTex MLS members and offered via GoToWebinar livestream.

What Is MAPS?

MAPS is a six-course curriculum that covers key MLS applications, workflows, and best practices. You have 12 months to complete the certification, so it fits into a busy schedule.

After you complete all requirements, you’ll receive:

  • MAPS Certification
  • One-time free quarter of MetroTex MLS

Required Courses

Complete all five core courses:

1. ZipForm

  • Create and manage transactions
  • Build templates to save time
  • Send documents for digital signatures

2. Advanced Matrix

  • Customize homepage widgets
  • Run detailed searches
  • Edit grids and use the Hotsheet
  • Save searches efficiently

3. Client Management

  • Set prospect defaults
  • Create auto emails
  • Add and manage clients
  • Build saved searches

4. Accessing Property Tax (Realist)

  • Search property records with advanced criteria
  • Identify bank-owned properties, zoning, and exemptions
  • Create mailing labels and save custom searches

5. Managing Your Listings (Listing 101)

  • Follow input sheet and photo rules
  • Track listing stages and deadlines
  • Add, revise, and upload photos and virtual tours
  • Learn Supra key and lockbox basics

Elective Courses

Choose one elective to complete your certification:

1. Intro to Instanet

  • Upload documents
  • Create transactions and templates
  • Send documents for digital signatures

OR

2. Intro to RPR

  • Research local and national markets
  • Use map-based searches
  • Generate statistical reports
  • Explore community data

How to Get Started

  1. Register for MLS classes here
  2. Attend the livestream sessions
  3. Complete all required and elective courses within 12 months
  4. Email mls@metrotex.com to request your certification and MLS credit
