Get to know your city
Even Realtors who log a lot of miles in their business lives can get stuck in a bubble. For the most part, we drive around familiar neighborhoods, eat at restaurants near our homes and offices and rarely venture too far out of the routine. That’s a smart way of doing business. You develop an expertise in your area and are valued for it. But sometimes it’s a good idea to find out what’s happening outside your sphere. It’s good to know what new developments are going in, what the issues are that challenge neighborhoods, and how they are being addressed. The MetroTex Southern Regional Advisory Council would like to expand your horizons with a tour of the Education Corridor in South Dallas.
This unique and informative bus tour will highlight the developments of a promising part of the city. Starting at the UNT Dallas campus, participants will learn about the positive impact of the university from UNT Dallas President Bob Mong. Guest will get an overview of projected housing and economic growth spurred by the growing university. Afterwards, we’ll take a bus tour of the area to get a first-hand look at a variety of developments and housing options that are in various stages of planning or construction. Our tour will end with a briefing at the historic Paul Quinn College with President Michael Sorrell.
This tour will be a memorable way to gain insight into future housing and retail plans, the influence great schools have on neighborhoods, and what Dallas is doing to more fully develop its resources. Won’t you consider joining us?
