MetroTex Doubles Down on Cooperation by Matching NTREIS Rewards for Qualifying Brokers
The real estate industry is changing rapidly, but one thing hasn’t changed: cooperation remains the foundation of a strong housing marketplace.
For decades, the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) has been the gold standard for creating a transparent, competitive marketplace where buyers, sellers, and real estate professionals all benefit from complete and accurate listing information. While recent industry changes have reshaped how real estate professionals conduct business, the value of brokers contributing high-quality listing data has never been greater.
That’s why MetroTex Association of REALTORS® is proud to announce that it will match the monetary rewards distributed through the inaugural NTREIS Rewards-2025 Program for qualifying MetroTex broker participants.
Together, these initiatives represent a significant investment in the professionals who create the marketplace every day.
Recognizing the Value Brokers Create
Every property entered into the MLS does more than market a home.
Those listings fuel the tools REALTORS® rely on daily, support accurate market statistics, power consumer home searches, provide the data behind property valuations, and help create the transparent marketplace that buyers and sellers have come to expect.
Simply put, brokers create the content that powers the real estate industry.
NTREIS recognized that reality with the launch of the NTREIS Rewards-2025 Program, a groundbreaking program that returns value directly to broker participants whose listing contributions make the MLS possible.
Now, MetroTex is reinforcing that commitment by matching those rewards for qualifying members.
“Our members are the reason the MLS works,” said Franceanna Campagna, 2026 MetroTex Chair. “Brokers invest tremendous time and resources into creating accurate, complete listing information that benefits the entire marketplace. By matching the NTREIS Rewards payments, MetroTex is recognizing that contribution while reinforcing the importance of cooperation and data quality.”
A New Way of Thinking About the MLS
Historically, MLS participation has been viewed primarily as a subscription service—a necessary business tool for marketing listings and accessing inventory.
Today’s marketplace requires a broader perspective.
As listing data powers everything from online home searches to market analytics and digital advertising platforms, the value created by brokers extends well beyond the MLS itself.
The NTREIS Rewards-2025 Program represents a shift in thinking by recognizing brokers not simply as subscribers, but as the creators of the marketplace. The program rewards qualifying brokers based on their contributions during the 2025 calendar year, including listing activity, data completeness, quality photos and virtual tours, and successful transaction outcomes.
Future reward cycles will also incorporate compliance standards, further encouraging high-quality listing data that benefits consumers and fellow REALTORS® alike.
By matching those rewards, MetroTex is making an additional investment in the professionals whose participation strengthens the MLS every day.
Why Cooperation Still Matters
The real estate industry continues to evolve following significant changes over the past two years. Yet one principle remains unchanged: consumers are best served when they have access to complete, accurate, and timely property information.
Every listing entered into the MLS helps create a marketplace built on transparency, fairness, and competition. That benefits buyers, sellers, brokers, agents, appraisers, lenders, and communities throughout North Texas.
When brokers contribute quality listing data, everyone wins.
That’s why initiatives like NTREIS Rewards, and MetroTex’s matching program, are about much more than financial incentives. They reinforce the value of participation in a cooperative marketplace and recognize the professionals who make that marketplace possible.
Investing in the Future of Organized Real Estate
The combined NTREIS Rewards and MetroTex matching program sends a clear message: organized real estate continues to evolve to meet the needs of its members.
Rather than simply adapting to industry change, North Texas is helping lead it by creating innovative ways to recognize broker participation, encourage data quality, and strengthen one of the nation’s most respected MLS systems.
As the housing market continues to evolve, MetroTex remains committed to delivering meaningful value to its members while supporting a transparent, competitive marketplace that serves consumers across North Texas.
The future of the MLS has always depended on cooperation.
Today, cooperation is being rewarded.
Additional information about eligibility and payment details will be provided directly to qualifying brokers by NTREIS and MetroTex.
