Could You Qualify for REALTOR® Emeritus?
For many REALTORS®, a career in real estate spans decades of serving clients, volunteering, and giving back to the profession. If that’s your story, you may be eligible for one of the National Association of REALTORS®’ highest member honors: REALTOR® Emeritus Status.
REALTOR® Emeritus recognizes members who have demonstrated a long-standing commitment to the real estate profession and service to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
Approved Emeritus members receive:
- A permanent waiver of the NAR portion of their annual dues
- An exemption from NAR’s Code of Ethics and Fair Housing training requirements
- Recognition of their years of dedication and volunteer service
Do You Qualify?
To qualify, you must meet both of the following requirements:
- 40 cumulative years as a REALTOR® or REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® (or a combination of both)
- At least one year of volunteer service at the national level with NAR, such as serving as:
- An NAR committee member
- An NAR officer or director
- A Federal Political Coordinator
- A Global Ambassador or Global Coordinator for a country with an NAR bilateral partnership
