Renew Early to Avoid Delays During TREC’s REALM Portal Launch

TREC is launching the new REALM Portal on December 10, 2025. Some services will pause just before launch. If your license renewal is coming up, renew early to avoid downtime.

Who Should Act Now

• Anyone with a renewal in November, December, or January.
• Sponsoring brokers with renewals in those months.
• Sales agents who plan to change sponsoring brokers before launch.

Key Dates

• December 2, 2025 by 5:00 p.m. CST:
  Renew early or submit your broker-change request so the sponsoring broker has time to affirm it.

• December 3–9, 2025:
  Renewal and sponsorship changes pause while TREC moves to REALM.

• December 10, 2025:
  REALM Portal goes live. Actions resume in the new system.

Why This Matters

• If a sponsoring broker misses a renewal deadline and the license expires, all sponsored sales agents are set to inactive.
• If you are a designated broker for a business entity, that entity and any agents it sponsors are also set to inactive.
• Sales agents who wait until after December 2 to request a broker change will need to wait until December 10 to complete it in REALM.

What to Do Now

1. Check your renewal month: If it is November, December, or January, plan to renew before December 2.
2. Brokers: Renew on time to keep your agents active.
3. Agents changing brokers: Submit your request well before December 2 to allow time for broker affirmation.
