Help Shape REALTOR® Advocacy in Texas
Advocacy doesn’t happen by accident. It takes engaged REALTORS® who are willing to step up and get involved. Their work helps shape policies that impact property rights, homeownership, and real estate across Texas.
Texas REALTORS® is seeking applicants for two important advocacy opportunities: the Political Involvement Committee (PIC) and the Texas REALTORS® Issues PAC (TRIP) Local Issues Committee. If you’re passionate about protecting property rights and strengthening the real estate industry, these committees offer a meaningful way to get involved.
Political Involvement Committee (PIC)
The Political Involvement Committee serves as the grassroots advocacy arm of Texas REALTORS®. Committee members help strengthen political engagement across the state.
Their work may include candidate recruitment, voter registration, legislative outreach, Calls for Action, and local advocacy initiatives.
PIC members also serve as a key connection between local associations and Texas REALTORS®. They help share political updates, advocacy opportunities, and industry developments throughout their region.
For 2027, Texas REALTORS® has vacancies in Regions 4, 12, and 15. Regional PIC appointments are two-year terms.
Application Deadline: June 23, 2026
Texas REALTORS® Issues PAC (TRIP) Local Issues Committee
The TRIP Local Issues Committee helps protect private property rights and REALTOR® priorities at the local level. Committee trustees review requests for campaign support from local associations.
They also evaluate strategies and budgets. Their work helps guide advocacy efforts related to local government actions and ballot measures.
Trustees play an important role in supporting local associations facing critical public policy issues. They also serve as ambassadors for REALTOR® advocacy throughout Texas.
Committee appointments are for three-year terms. Trustees participate in both virtual and in-person meetings throughout the year.
Application Deadline: June 30, 2026
