Why is the code of ethics important?

For well over 100 years Realtors have abided by the NAR code of ethics.

One of the first codifications of ethical duties adopted by any business group, the code of ethics lays out a set of principles upholding a standard of competency, fairness, and high integrity for all real estate professionals.

It’s pretty straightforward, every three years Realtors® need to complete 2.5 hours of ethics training/

FYI: The current cycle 6 deadline is Dec. 31, 2021. The next cycle (cycle 7) will begin Jan. 1, 2022, and end Dec. 31, 2024.
