Dues for the full year are $485. Dues are prorated your first year based on the month you join.
A one time Application Fee of $240 and a one time Orientation Fee of $60 are also required upon joining the association.

Q: Do I have to pay the NAR dues to stay with MetroTex?
A: MetroTex (like all other local REALTOR® associations) is part of a three-way agreement with Texas REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. REALTOR® membership with MetroTex requires membership in all three organizations.
Q: Do I have to pay the Texas REALTORS® dues to stay with MetroTex?
A: MetroTex (like all other local REALTOR® associations) is part of a three-way agreement with Texas REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. REALTOR® membership with MetroTex requires membership in all three organizations.
Q: What is included in my annual dues?
A: There are a number of benefits available only to MetroTex members, including benefits of your Texas REALTORS® and NAR memberships. Check out www.mymetrotex.com/my-benefits for a quick overview.
Q: Are my annual dues tax deductible?
A: The following amounts for certain lobbying and political expenditures are not deductible for income tax purposes: 35% of NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR) dues or $55, 13% of Texas REALTORS® dues or $15, 11% of local association dues, and the $30 assessment by Texas REALTORS® for the Issues Mobilization/Political Advocacy Fund (IMPAF) are all not deductible. The remaining dues and assessment are not tax deductible as charitable contributions but may be tax deductible under other provisions of the Internal Revenue Code. Please consult with your tax professional for additional details.
Q: Are my annual dues refundable?
A: Dues are not refundable.
Q: What are these extra assessments for?
For REALTOR® members, there are several assessments as part of your dues total. These include:
- MetroTex Technology Assessment of $5
- MetroTex Building Maintenance Assessment of $5
- Texas REALTORS IMPAF (Issues Mobilization Political Action Fund) Assessment of $30
- Texas REALTORS® Legal Assessment of $10 (an approved increase of $5 over 2024)
- NAR Consumer Advertising Campaign Assessment of $45

Q: Do I have to be a REALTOR® to get access to MLS through MetroTex?
A: No, MetroTex MLS service is available to licensees who are not REALTORS®, although MetroTex members do receive a discounted price.
Q: Do I have to be a REALTOR® for my agents to get access to MLS through MetroTex?
A: No, MetroTex MLS service is available to licensees who are not REALTORS®, although MetroTex members do receive a discounted price.
Q: Do I have to be a REALTOR® for me or my agents to get Key Services through MetroTex?
A: No. MetroTex Key Services are available to licensees who are not REALTORS®. If you are not a REALTOR®, receiving key services is as easy as being a subscriber of an MLS and paying your annual key fee.
Q: If I am a REALTOR® but have an agent who does not want to be, what happens?
A: Because REALTOR® membership is driven by the broker, you will be billed for your agents’ NAR and Texas REALTOR® dues as part of the NAR dues formula.
Q: If I am not a REALTOR®, can my agents choose to be?
A: No. Because REALTOR® membership is driven by the broker, your agents can only be REALTORS® if you are.
