Change to Clear Cooperation Reporting

The NTREIS Board of Directors has approved a change to the NTREIS Rules and Regulations to remove the requirement to provide “Full Address of property” when reporting a clear cooperation violation. This change is to the last paragraph of the note in Section 7.01:

A Participant who fails to comply with the Clear Cooperation requirement will be fined by such Participant’s MLS Provider not less than $1,000 and not to exceed $5,000 per property cited for violation. Reported violations shall include the following:

  • Full address of property
  • Listing Agent and company name
  • Documentation (image of marketing)

This change brings our rules in line with NAR guidance on enforcement which has been clear that a violation occurs even if the property address is not included in the marketing.
