Clear Cooperation and What It Means for Your Listings
Since May of 2020, MetroTex has undertaken an education and warning campaign to ensure our MLS Participants and Subscribers are aware of the Clear Cooperation policy. The policy requires listing brokers who are participants in a multiple listing service to submit their listings to the MLS within one business day of marketing the property to the public.
In a newly released video, MetroTex MLS Director Cathy Faulkner discusses Clear Cooperation and breaks down some of the recommended best practices related to the use of the Coming Soon status, Office Exclusives, and the application of the policy.
As a reminder, the Clear Cooperation Policy reads as follows: “Within one (1) business day of marketing a property to the public, the listing broker must submit the listing to the MLS for cooperation with other MLS participants. Public marketing includes, but is not limited to, flyers displayed in windows, yard signs, digital marketing on public facing websites, brokerage website displays (including IDX and VOW), digital communications marketing (email blasts), multi-brokerage listing sharing networks, and applications available to the general public.”
