For the past 14 years, I have been honored to serve this community and its citizens as a public servant in law enforcement. While working at the Lake Worth Police Department, I received several commendations. In 2007, I was promoted to the rank of Patrol Sergeant, supervising the Night Patrol Shift. I was fortunate to work with some of the best professional officers any sergeant could ask for. Later in 2009, I submitted and tested for a promotional examination for Detective. After being selected as the top candidate, I was promoted to the rank of Detective, where I specialized in fraud. After nine years as a detective, I was promoted to the rank of Detective Sergeant.

Judge Jones serves as the Presiding Judge of the Justice of the Peace Court in Precinct 4, having been elected to the position in 2018. With over 25 years of professional experience in city government, real estate, and higher education, Judge Jones brings a wealth of knowledge to his judicial role. His expertise also extends to project management, property management, municipal budgeting, departmental reorganization, and civil contracts. He is the Broker and President of a real estate brokerage specializing in commercial real estate. His extensive background in property management includes overseeing approximately 1,200 government-owned properties, including tax foreclosures and properties held by non-profit organizations.

Judge O’Brien was elected to serve in 2018. She attended Stephen F. Austin State University earning her BS in Chemistry. She later obtained her MS in Environmental Science from the University of Texas Health Science Center. Judge O’Brien was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and has lived in Texas since 1976. She hears criminal and civil cases under $20,000 which include small claims, repair and remedy, evictions, debt claims, traffic tickets, fraudulent checks and fine-only misdemeanors. Judge O’Brien understands the struggles of everyday life and is honored to serve the people of Precinct 2.

Kenneth Sanders, was elected Judge by the citizens of Tarrant County’s Precinct 7 to serve as their Justice of the Peace Court representative. Sanders, a product of the FWISD graduating from Paul Laurence Dunbar, before starting his collegiate matriculation at Tarrant County College, later finishing his Bachelor’s degree at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He has enjoyed a successful career in supply chain and performance manufacturing management with such companies as Lockheed Martin and General Motors. Sanders leveraged his work experiences as a leader, an astute observer and problem solver to be a force of change in the world of politics.

Michael Orozco was appointed October 2018, by the Dallas County Commissioner’s Court for the Office of Dallas County Constable Precinct 5. Mr. Orozco brings with him over twenty years of law enforcement experience in the constable’s office. Having worked in every division of the Constable’s Office, i.e., from the execution of criminal and civil process, eviction proceedings, collection of judgments, truancy courts, mental health attachments, criminal warrants, and serving as bailiff to the justice of the peace courts, He brings forth his working knowledge and experience to each of these tasks. Mr. Orozco has earned the Civil Process Proficiency Certification from Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, [T.C.O.L.E.] and has earned and maintained over the years, the following State of Texas licenses: Master Peace Officer; Advanced Peace Officer; Intermediate Peace Officer; and Basic Peace Officer.
