Victory for Bill Roth: A Win for Dallas and a Testament to Grassroots Power

We are thrilled to share the exciting news: MetroTex member and past President Bill Roth has officially won his seat on the Dallas City Council in District 11! This run-off victory is not only a milestone for Bill and his team, but also a reflection of the tireless work of countless volunteers, supporters, and community members who came together to support his vision for a stronger, more vibrant Dallas.
“We are incredibly proud of what was accomplished together and look forward to partnering with Councilmember Roth, said Johnny Mowad, 2025 MetroTex President. “Just like his role as MetroTex President, Bill will serve the people of Dallas with integrity and vision.”
During the long campaign it took an army of dedicated individuals willing to put in the hard work to turn ideas into action.
MetroTex’s Role in Bill Roth’s Victory:
- Polling and Voter Outreach: MetroTex members staffed polling locations, answered questions from first-time voters, and offered support to ensure everyone who wanted to cast a ballot could do so easily and confidently.
This win is proof that when communities come together, when volunteers give their time and energy, and when organizations like ours provide structure and support, real change happens.
MetroTex also endorsed four other candidates that were victorious in their run-off elections.
- Dylan Hedrick – Mayor, City of Garland
- John Lopez – Grand Prairie City Council – District 4
- Debrah North – DeSoto City Council – Place 5
- David Pfaff – Irving City Council – Place 2
