Zillow has announced intentions to operate as a Broker in Zillow Offers transactions. While Zillow holds a Broker license in Texas, they are prevented from operating as a Broker in our market under our current data license agreement. However, under the new business model, this relationship will change. Zillow will no longer receive a syndication data feed from any MLS or Broker.
As a Broker, they will join as an MLS Participant and be entitled to receive the same data feed as any other MLS Participant in our market, including a back office feed for internal use. They will also use an IDX or VOW feed for public display of listings. They will be bound by the MLS Rules for display. Leads that do not go through the Zillow Offers program are to be referred to Zillow Premier agent partners. These changes are expected to take place in early 2021.
